prototype is an aluminum and found-object sculpture created in the spring semester of 2007. it was the first piece i made in art school that wasn't in direct response to a prompt, and i include it here because of its relevance to my personal interests. prototype is heavily inspired by science fiction, and is shown next to a journal full of drawings of specific robots from pop culture and quotes about artificial intelligence.
